Narendra Modi Meditation At the Dhyan Mandapam

On Saturday, June 1, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrapped off his forty-five-hour meditation at the Vivekananda Rock Memorial in Kanyakumari.
He was at Kanyakumari on a spiritual journey, where he was meditating at the Dhyan Mandapam, the site of the famous Hindu scholar Swami Vivekananda’s purported visions of “Bharat Mata” (Mother India).

On Thursday, May 30, Modi landed in Kanyakumari. This is the location where, according to mythology, Goddess Parvati waited for Lord Shiva and meditated on one leg.

Here, the eastern and western coasts of India converge to form the southernmost point of the nation. The Arabian Sea, the Bay of Bengal, and the Indian Ocean all converge here. Modi is advocating for national unity by going to Kanyakumari.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered respect and prayers to the Sun God during the sunrise ritual known as the “Surya Arghya,” which is a part of spiritual practice, as part of his meditation routine.

When the Prime Minister arrived in Kanyakumari, he went directly to the Bhagavathy Amman Temple to offer his prayer.

2,000 police officers were stationed, while the Indian Coast Guard and Indian Navy maintained tight surveillance throughout PM Modi’s visit.

After the Lok Sabha election campaign concluded, PM Narendra Modi went on a spiritual retreat.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote a note after his meditation session at the Vivekananda Rock Memorial in Kanyakumari, which Union Minister and BJP leader Nirmala sitharaman posted on Saturday.

Narendra Modi stated Devine Experience from his Meditation

  • “Visiting the ‘Vivekananda Rock Memorial’ at the southernmost tip of India, Kanyakumari, fills me with a divine energy,” PM Modi wrote in his note.
  • Swami Vivekananda and Goddess Parvati both meditated on this same rock. Eknath Ranade later turned this rock into the ‘Shila Smarak,’ bringing the teachings of Swami Vivekananda to reality.”
  • “It is my privilege that today, after so many years, as India embraces the values and ideals of Swami Vivekananda, I too had the opportunity to meditate at this sacred place.”
  • “This meditation at the ‘Shila Smarak’ is one of the unforgettable moments of my life. Sitting at the feet of Mother India, I once again affirm that every moment of my life and every particle of my being will always be dedicated to the service of the nation,” wrote PM Modi in his note. “With wishes for the nation’s progress and the welfare of its citizens, I offer my highest reverence to ‘Mother India’.

What Tejashwi Yadav said on Modis visit

Tejashwi Yadav, the RJD politician and former deputy chief minister of Bihar, called Modi’s spiritual activities at Kanyakumari as a “photo shoot.”

“Modi ji is not meditating; it’s just a photo shoot,” Tejashwi Yadav remarked. He will return after the photo session.”

In Hoshiarpur, Punjab, Modi wrapped up his election campaign on Thursday. This was for the upcoming June 1, 2024, seventh and last round of elections.

Modi held about 206 electoral campaign events—including roadshows and rallies—during a span of 75 days. Additionally, he participated in almost 80 interviews for various news and media outlets.

After election campaigns, Prime Minister Modi is renowned for going on spiritual retreats. He traveled to Kedarnath in 2019 and to Shivaji’s Pratapgarh in 2014. Seven stages of elections are being conducted for the 543 Lok Sabha seats, with the first round starting on April 19. June 4 is when the votes will be tallied.

Conclusion

As a conclusion, the 45-hour meditation session led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Kanyakumari is a potent illustration of the ongoing value of spiritual reflection in leadership.

In addition to highlighting his own commitment to reflection, his visit to the revered Vivekananda Rock Memorial, a location rich in spiritual and historical significance, also serves as a testament to the nation’s ongoing inspiration from Swami Vivekananda’s ideas and values.

The conclusion of Modi’s meditation practice served as a reminder of the close relationship between one’s own spirituality and national duty, highlighting the ways in which introspective moments can strengthen a leader’s commitment to the welfare and advancement of their nation.
